Do you think childhood trauma made you smarter and this is why you did not fit into the group?

I wonder if it does not make us into an extreme version of ourselves?

As if our brain recognized we would not be able to rely on others. So it went all in on making us self sufficient as early as possible. Perhaps at the cost of your connection to the group? I can see this as evolutionary. As the cost of the group gets higher more will roll out. This is essentially positive disintegration. But the threshold depends on the health of the society as well as the awareness of the individual.

No. I think childhood trauma coupled with ways we already are can often make people more observant and hyper activated to other’s “vibes.” Reading more about Dabrowski full theories can give you more ideas. Yes to our tendency towards independence and not trusting others to be there for us.

I have read his theories and I agree with many but not all.

I am pretty sure my trauma did. I can remember my infancy. I can remember connecting my emotions and intellect in infancy due to the need to manage my emotions.

You've probably read more than I have. I have a tendency to remember the parts that are relevant to what I want to know now. Let's revisit this again at some point. You've got me thinking :-)
