The first title is a winner and grabbed my attention: Losing Our Minds: Gifted Children Left Behind. What told you that you need to rename it? The title including school issues and educational options is more directed to an audience. I'm wondering what thinking or feedback told you the other title would have more traction in places where you wanted highest impact?

The first title was indeed great and it was a mistake to change it. Part of the reasoning was that the book was more about all the details of the Levels of Gifted, the IQ and other identifiers, and immediate options for parents and schools. My newest book, the longitudinal study, is about overall systems that continue to keep too many people back. Because the new book is too large for most people's interest, I am turning it into three smaller books that have more focus. I have decided to name the first book "Losing Our Minds: Too Many Gifted Children and Adults Left Behind." It is the first two sections of the Big Book, chapters 1-5. I also have been making sure that some of the summary data and explanations from the other sections of the Big Book are in each of the three smaller books. When I wrote the initial "Losing Our Minds" book I asked my friends and clients and followers to suggest titles. When I saw the Losing Our Minds idea I loved it. I will now use it again. I am sure people can help me with the two remaining smaller books' titles when I ask for input later this year. Thanks for asking, Georgia. And thanks for supporting my work by being a Paid Subscriber.

Brilliant! Yes, I saw you putting your epic tome into what I call the Hawaii model. Lots of smaller islands you can get to and it's still the one state of Hawaii. Invite me to your next session on naming. I'd be honored to mind meld with you. I have a good track record on coming up with names and titles. My early influence was when I noticed everyone bought Snuggle even though there were many other fabric softeners. I noticed the name was all about the recipient and how they feel and connect with early memories.

I do have a curiosity - have you found any correlation between giftedness and increased emotional awareness in others/ sensitivity at a younger age? Thank you very much.

My son had an IQ of 150+ in kindergarten. There were many teacher who went out of their way to disprove that He was orally tested by the school psychologist. My son was of Native American descent and we adopted him when he was 9 months old. School was not good because the stereo types of natives is so negative.

Judith, I didn't want to press "like" because this is so sad. Egregious. How old is he now? The early testing can be slightly off but that's true no matter when someone is tested. Tell me more about how he is doing now.
